What is #EducatingNorthants?

We are a movement of local teachers & educators who believe in Northamptonshire and are optimistic and aspirational for its future. We represent teachers and children across schools and settings in the county, from nursery through to colleges and the university.

We held our first event on Saturday 30th March 2019. We are currently discussing the future of #EducatingNorthants and we would love to hear your views.

How can #EducatingNorthants support teaching, learning and leadership in our county?

How can #EducatingNorthants have an impact on educational outcomes for young people in Northamptonshire?

How can #EducatingNorthants support meaningful and sustained collaboration between schools in the county?

Please let us know your thoughts.

Why #EducatingNorthants?

To flip the narrative and tell a good news story about education in Northamptonshire

To provide a forum for Northamptonshire educators to be part of the conversation about the future of our county’s schools.

To offer the very best professional learning and development for teachers from all phases.

Who?

We are Jennie Giovanelli, Tom Rees, Helen Scott, Cristina Taboada-Naya and Carly Waterman. In our wider team we have Esther Gray, Jane Clark, Julie Bedster, Leigh Wolmarans and Carol Wynne.

What next?

The conference is just the beginning. We think there is a role for #EducatingNorthants in the future of education in Northamptonshire. We want to champion collaboration, support professional learning and represent the voices of the county’s school leaders.
