This workshop will share five years of doctoral research into what kinds of leadership practice support Lesson Study as an effective form of teachers’ professional learning. We will explore the circumstances under which participation in Lesson Study can promote teachers’ engagement with educational research. We will think about how school leaders can lead Lesson Study in ways that help teachers understand and synthesise key messages from research and practise research-informed pedagogies in their classrooms.
