Do your science students revise but struggle to remember or apply prior scientific knowledge to novel situations? Do they become disheartened after sitting summative assessments and profess that they “can’t do science”?
This session will discuss research-informed techniques and resources that will help to improve a student’s ability to retrieve information and recover their confidence and self-efficacy in science. We will explore how to share the techniques with students and how to integrate science retrieval practice into your daily teaching routines. There is an opportunity to be part of a community group of local science educators who offer support, training and who will share and review science resources.
